01 · Why Drebbel

Pharma discipline, brought to the factory floor.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing is the hardest school in automation: validated processes, zero-defect packaging, batch records that must hold up years later. Founder Hasan Verinç spent twenty years in that school. Drebbel brings its discipline to food and other precision manufacturing, where the expectations look more like pharma every year.

Where that record comes from: roles at Bilim Pharmaceuticals, Advanco and Accenture Industry X.0, with project work for clients including Teva, Gilead, Biogen, Pfizer, Sandoz and Thermo Fisher while there. Named as career history, not as Drebbel clients. Hands-on across the stack: Honeywell building and process systems, Bosch and IMA packaging lines, SSI Schäfer high-bay automation, Werum PAS-X MES, Mettler Toledo shop-floor integrations, and the PLC, SCADA and network layers underneath.

02 · What we do

Three practices. One standard of work.

Commissioning & control systems

Lines commissioned, faults found, upgrades that stick

From FAT to SAT to the first full production day: protocol-driven commissioning of production and packaging lines, and calm, systematic fault-finding when a line misbehaves.

Commissioning with paperwork that holds. FAT, SAT and structured test protocols, documented so your QA team signs without a fight. Fault-finding on running lines. Stoppages, drift, mystery rejects: found methodically, fixed, and written down so they stay fixed. Retrofits and obsolescence. Ageing PLCs, drives and HMIs replaced in planned windows, without betting the whole line on one weekend.
TYPICAL ENGAGEMENTS New line or cell about to land FAT at the builder, SAT on your floor, first batch on a date A line that keeps stopping structured root-cause hunt, fixes verified with data Controls nobody dares touch obsolete PLC, undocumented changes: mapped, then modernised A line move or layout change de-install, move, recommission, prove it runs like before fixed scope or day rate · always with a written record
FIG. 2 · WHERE THIS PRACTICE USUALLY BEGINS
WHERE THE DATA LAYER SITS ERP · FINANCE & PLANNING knows the order, not the line MES · ONE DATA LAYER batch · OEE · quality · trace · the layer we build SCADA · HMI · HISTORIANS sees everything, keeps little PLC · SENSORS · SCALES · VISION where the truth is born DATA, UPWARDS ORDERS, DOWN vendor-neutral · sized for mid-size plants, built to pharma habits
FIG. 3 · THE LAYER BETWEEN YOUR FLOOR AND YOUR ERP
MES & the digital factory

From paper and Excel to one data layer

The gap between the shop floor and the ERP is where yield, hours and traceability go missing. We close it, vendor-neutral and sized for mid-size plants, built on what MES looks like when it has to survive a pharma audit.

Selection without vendor fog. Requirements, shortlist, pilot: you choose a platform with clear eyes, not from a brochure. Shop-floor integration. Scales, checkweighers, vision, printers and PLCs reporting into one layer, batch by batch. Dashboards operators use. OEE, yield, give-away and downtime, live on the wall, not buried in a monthly export.
Partner delivery · for vendors & machine builders

Your delivery arm in the Benelux

Selling into Dutch food and process plants from abroad is slow without local hands. Drebbel works as pre-sales solution engineer, implementation and commissioning partner, first-line service or co-selling ally, whichever shape fits your channel, including a formal reseller arrangement where that makes sense.

Pre-sales that speaks plant. Scoping visits, demos, feasibility and solution architecture on day rate, in English or Turkish. Delivery under your flag or ours. Implementation, commissioning and SAT for your Benelux customers, with vendor-grade documentation. A model that already runs. On the traceability side, founder Hasan Verinç works with vendors such as Tulip and Wipotec through his software venture Tracius. This line extends that model to the wider automation stack.

03 · How we start

Four doors in. Pick the one that fits today.

For manufacturers, every engagement starts small and concrete. Whichever door you choose, you get the same senior engineer and the same written record.

01 The factory scan

One or two days on your floor: lines, controls, data and the quiet losses. You get a prioritised, written roadmap you own, whoever executes it.

02 Fix a problem now

A stoppage, a drifting process, a cabinet nobody dares touch: hands-on help, fast, and documented so it stays fixed.

03 Owner's engineer

Buying a line, cell or MES? We sit on your side of the table: requirements, vendor selection, FAT, SAT, and a commissioning that ends on a date.

04 The fractional engineer

A fixed number of days per month: the automation and digitalisation engineer a mid-size plant needs, without the full-time hire.

No prices on this page, because no two plants are the same. The first conversation costs thirty minutes and nothing else.

04 · Where we work

Food first. Noord-Holland first.

Cheese, dairy and wider food production run closer to pharma every year: hygiene regimes, allergen lines, batch discipline, recall readiness. That is home ground for us. We start where we live, Alkmaar and Noord-Holland, and work across the Randstad and the rest of the country from there. Also welcome: pharma and cosmetics suppliers, and any precision manufacturer that takes its data seriously.

05 · Who you get

One engineer. The one you spoke to.

Drebbel Automation is founder-led by design. The person who scopes your project is the person who commissions it: Hasan Verinç, industrial automation engineer since the Japanese-Turkish JICA programme in Konya, then twenty years automating pharmaceutical processes, machines and plants across Turkey, Europe, the US, Brazil, Korea and China.

Working sessions run in English or Turkish; written Dutch is always fine. Home base: Sint Pancras, Noord-Holland, where Drebbel also runs its premium home-automation practice from the founder's own demo home.
